Welcome to our web site.
We are a church which formed in March 1997. We are former members of the Worldwide Church of God. It began taking a journey we did not care to travel. We were not alone. Many former leaders of Worldwide left and formed churches similar to Worldwide as it was before its radical departure from past beliefs. We considered what they offered but their covert methods were unacceptable. We therefore chose to form our own church without the structure they presented.
What is a church? Scripture
defines a church as a congregation of people chosen by God, or called out ones. God determines who is going to be in His church, or
put another way, He chooses them. He calls and
leads His chosen people to become a part of His church.
Scripture specifically states His chosen people are: foreknown, predestined,
called, justified, and glorified. His purpose
for calling His chosen people is to enter into a covenant (an agreement, a contract) with
them. The covenant is a legal document between
God and His chosen people specifying the requirements of both parties. The covenant is negotiated between both parties by
the hand of a mediator. Once both parties
agree to the requirements of the covenant, the covenant is figuratively signed by both
parties and made official by sealing it with the blood of a sacrifice. It is the covenant between God and His chosen
people that makes one an official church member. Church
members are judged based on their compliance to the requirements of the covenant.
We have entered into the New Covenant mediated by Christ. It specified we had to repent of our sins, submit
to the will of God, and die in a likeness of Christ’s death. We signified our repentance and submission by
putting to death our old person through baptism. We
arose to a new life of following Christ, a life of faith and trust in Him. The Father’s part of the New Covenant was to
give us the promised Holy Spirit through the laying on of hands. The blood of Jesus Christ, our Passover, sealed
this covenant.
We feel Christ used Herbert W. Armstrong to do the work of
an apostle. The work of all apostles and only
apostles is to issue the calling that leads the elect to the New Covenant.
What is the purpose for our web site?
The purpose for our Web site is to present a very brief view of what God is doing in this age. We believe He is following a very detailed plan He created before time began. His plan can be briefly summarized as follows:
"God is creating a spiritual family and HE has only TWO requirements for family membership. get along with Him; gET ALONG WITH EACH other."
We believe His plan, which He implemented billions of years ago, will soon arrive at the end of its first phase and transition to the beginning of its second phase. This transition will take place shortly at the return of Christ. Our understanding of God's plan has recently been greatly enhanced by coming to see there are two true Churches of God.
